This gothic structure may be intended as a garden temple or it may be a design for the interior of a church, perhaps a screen or a surround for one of William Kent's funerary monuments. The design shows three ogee arches with ornate drop tracery raised on narrow compound piers, each pointed arch decorated with crockets and faced with a quatrefoil relief. The drawing appears to be executed in Kent's hand: his drawings have the loose brown-wash technique and precise detailing seen in this sheet. Gallery label for installation of YCBA collection, 2014
