Hieronymus Cock's edition of 1556 was the first (despite dates of 1555 on prints I and VI). The 12 prints are preceded by Cock's added title sheet. The engravings are by D.V. Coornhert after Martin van Heemskerk. The 2nd may be by Cornelis Bosch rather than Coornhert; see Hollstein.
