The covers of this issue of the Panoramic alphabet of peace appear not to be described in the Darton bibliographies. The front cover has a central wood-engraved depiction of children playing at soldiers. The YCBA copy lacks a title page as described in other copies. The back cover and the verso of the leaf for letter 'Z' reuse cover sheets from Darton's Scripture panoramic alphabet [ca. 1855].
