A catalogue of the whole of the very beautiful and highly interesting collection of paintings, the original works of that greatly-admired artist James Ward, Esq. R. A. of no. 6, Nenman Street, about to retire to the country : comprising his very celebrated and admirable work, a group of cattle in a landscape, of the natural size, painted in emulation of the famous pictures of the bull, by P. Potter, in the Museum at Amsterdam : various portraits of horses, and of animals of distinguished beauty, or peculiar breeds : landscapes : subjects from domestic life and allegory, particularly the original finished sketch for an allegorical painting, commemorative of the Victory of Waterloo, and a whole-length portrait of the Duke of Wellington, painted from His Grace as a finished study for the large picture now in the Hall of Chelsea College : and a capital and greatly admired copy from the Marquess of Stafford's Bath of Diana, by Titian : which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Christie, at his Great Room, 8, King Street, St. James's Square, on Friday, May 29th, 1829, precisely at one o'clock : may be viewed two days preceding : and catalogues had at Mr. Christie's office, King Street, St. James's Square.
