Manual for the study and creation of pointed lace (i.e., needle lace). The plate gives illustrations for insertions, handkerchief borders, head dress trimming, and "Mediaeval Linen Work" -- the last of these showing that the revival of various decorative forms exemplified by the Pre-Raphaelite and Arts and Crafts movements was spreading to more commercial outlets.
