"T. Grundy, boot maker, 133, Leadenhall Street, opposite the India-House, and 44, St. Martin's Lane, Charing Cross, respectfully begs leave to acquaint the nobility, gentry, and the public, that he has introduced an entirely new process in the preparation of leather, whereby it is rendered most beautifully soft and pliable, and at the same time so much changed in its nature .... This leather is suitable for boots of any substance, from a dress boot to a shooting boot."
