In the autumn of 1841 | he made a sketching tour with C Bentley | in Normandy. Visiting St. Malo. [Aurarches?], | Cader, Havre, Dieppe. | I think one drawing was made on the | English coast, possibly at or near New Haven | (or Shoreham district) before he left for Normandy. | Martin Hardie"
