- "Report of Henry Rutgers, Samuel L. Mitchill, and Thomas Morris, the Commissioners superintending the construction of a steam vessel of war, to the Secretary of the Navy": pages [17]-27. The report chronicles development of the Demologus (1814-1815) by Robert Fulton, the first warship to be propelled by a steam engine. The ship was renamed Fulton upton Robert Fulton's death.
