Manuscript account by John Sebastian Wilkins, Vicar of Heywood, describing a six-week trip to Scotland and a visit to Balmoral. Much of the text touches upon religious topics, in some places pointing out differences in Scottish and English traditions. The latter half of the text focuses on Balmoral and activities of Queen Victoria.
Text is neatly copied on rectos only. On every leaf, text is framed by a unique illuminated border design.
