- Notes:
- Collection of seven printed items relating to entertainment for working men at St. Chrysostom's Schools, in the Everton district of Liverpool. There are four printed programs advertising a mixture of readings and musical numbers, with readings from authors such as Dickens, Dyall, and Scott, and a number of humorous songs. A one page reprint of an article from the Liverpool Daily Courier of 18 April, 1867, recounts the mood of an evening of entertainment, with its large crowds and enthusiastic amateur performances. The story also mentions that the profits from the entertainment will amount to 15 pounds, which will be handed over to the St. Chrysostom's School Committee. Finally, there is a printed invitation and complimentary ticket to the closing entertainment on 27 April, 1867.
