Notes:
Manuscript account of the travels of the Anderson family of York to Belgium in 1847, by one of the sons, a law student, who accompanied Papa, Mama, Percy, Amelia, Ada, Robert, and Fanny the Maid. There are corrections and additions throughout indicating that it was written at the time and not a fair copy recollection. The family left York in July and sailed on the steamer Monarch to Antwerp. They also visited Ghent, Bruges, Brussels, Waterloo, Cologne, and arrived back in Antwerp at the end of August.
