Preface signed by William Bullock.
Bullock's collection consisted of works of art and objects of natural history, as well as many curiosities brought back from the South Seas by James Cook.
Around 1812, Bullock moved his collection to London & exhibited it in the newly erected Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly. Enlarged with other collections, it became one of the most popular exhibitions in London & existed under the name of the London Museum until 1819, when it was disposed of by auction.--DNB & Altick, R.
