BAC: British Art Center has copy 1 is a large paper copy (35 cm), bound in gilt-tooled red morocco, by Maclehose, Glasgow. Includes eight of Billings' original watercolors for the present work, mounted on the inside of each cover. Each of the 240 plates appears in two states: the published state (but on better quality paper than in the usual subscribers issue), and an earlier proof state, unfinished and unlettered, and differing in some details from the later state. Both sets of plates are on india-paper.
BAC: British Art Center has copy 2 is bound in publisher's original gilt-stamped blue cloth. Bookplate: James Frothingham Hunnewell.
