BAC: British Art Center copy: First edition. Octavo. 3 volumes. Original pebble-grain red cloth; stamped in gilt on spine, blind stamped on front and back covers. Brownish red quarter morocco, and reddish pink cloth slip-case; gold lettering on spine. All 3 volumes have half-title and title-pages. Presentation copy. Inscribed by Somerville and Martin Ross. In May 1894 Violet Martin inscribed Volume I to A.S. Martin, whose name she also wrote in Volumes II and III. Later Somerville acquired the volumes and inscribed each to her sister, Hildegarde (Lady Coghill), signing each title-page. Spine height: 8 1/2 inches.
