BAC: British Art Center copy 1 is the Abbey copy. Large paper copy. With ink stamps of the Bibliothèque du Château d'Eu (Louis Phillipe), the Bibliothèque du Roi (Neuilly), and the Duc d'Orléans. Bound in contemporary brown half morocco with marbled boards, with an unidentified coat of arms on leather title label.
BAC: British Art Center copy 2 is in original parts (six numbers), in publisher's original printed paper wrappers, with publisher's advertisements. Preliminaries included in part six. Copy 2 has stitched in at front the prospectus for the history of Little Johnny, the foundling of the late Doctor Syntax. Armorial bookplate of R.N.H. Moore Stevens.
