2d edition of Musée français, published by Robillard-Péronville and Pierre Laurent, Paris, 1803-11; the text is rewritten and abridged from the original by S. C. Croze-Magnan, E. Q. Visconti and T. B. Eméric-David. An English translation has been added.

BEIN 1979 Folio 42: This copy bound differently from other Beinecke Library copy: "Essay on the history of painting" is bound in vol. 1; "Essay on the history of ancient sculpture" and "Essay on the history of engraving" are bound in vol. 4; in other Beinecke Library copy all three English texts bound following French texts in vol. 3.
BAC: British Art Center copy bound in 19th century gilt-tooled navy morocco. "Essay on the history of engraving" is bound in volume 1. "Essay on the history of painting" is bound in volume 2 and 3. "Essay on the history of ancient sculpture" is bound in volume 4.
