- Latin translation by Giovanni da Capua of the Hebrew version of Kalīlah wa-Dimnah (Arabic version of Fables of Bidpai).
There are 2 Prüss eds., both undated and ca. 1489. In the first ed., roman numerals are used in the headlines (Capitulum II, III, etc.); in the second, the numerals are spelled out (Capitulum secundum, tertium, etc.). Cf. Geissler and ISTC.
The first Prüss ed. is known in 2 states. In the first state, the woodcut found on n8r (a wolf and two cats on a rock) is incorrectly repeated on n9r. In the second state, the woodcut on n9r is the correct one of a cat and mice in a house.
Imprint from ISTC.

Illustrated with 119 woodcuts, most half-page. The series is repeated from the earlier German translation of this work printed by Konrad Fyner of Urach; cf. A. Schramm, Der Bilderschmuck der Frühdrucke, IX, p. 10-13.
