The photographer and compiler are unidentified. The Trosley Towers mansion was built in 1887 at the instigation of Sir Sydney Waterlow (1822-1906). It passed to his son, Sir Philip Hickson Waterlow (1847-1931). Trosley Towers was demolished in 1936.
