The plates are chiefly engraved by Richard Collin, with some by Kilian, Karl Gustav Amling, Johann Alexander Boener, J. Franz, Leonhard Heckenauer, Johann Jakob Thurneysen (1636-1711), Johann Jakob von Sandrart, and Johann Georg Waldreich; most after drawings by Joachim von Sandrart, and two after Johann Jakob von Sandrart.
Six of the 70 illustrations are printed across facing leaves of plates.
