The jug is decorated with figures of reveling bacchanals, with a loop handle in the form of a vine stem. The decorations are based on "Bacchanalian Revel before a Herm [or Term] of Pan" by Nicholas Poussin and "Drunken Silenus" by Peter Paul Rubens. - Subject Terms:
