- A catalogue of a most curious and unique assemblage of the valuable property of that distinguished artist Johan Zoffany, Esq. decd, member of the Royal Academy : removed from his late residence at Strand on the Green : this collection is it confidently affirmed will be found highly deserving the minute attention of the liberal amateur : the painting and drawings are of the best of this much admired artist : and included several highly finished portraits of distinguished performers : also a selection, highly illustrative of the costume and manners of India, taken from the actual representation : together with some fine academical studies : also an assemblage of curious Asiatic armour & weapons, matchless silver hookers, rich Indian dresses, wrought in gold : an alcoran, in vellum, superbly illuminated, unique Pagan idols, a gong, and numerous other oriental curiosities, a small collection of shells, a few very scarce books and a sideboard of massive plate : which will be sold by auction by Messrs. Robins at their spacious rooms, Piazza, Covent Garden, by order of the executors, on Thursday, the 9th day of May, 1811, and following day, at twelve o'clock.
