The text is printed within a wood-engraved floral border.

BAC: British Art Center copy is housed with a similar trade card printed on cork made for Gaimes, Sanders & Nicol's participation in the Great Exhibition of 1851, in London.
The card is printed on a thin sheet of cork. Contemporary advertisements for hats made by Gaimes, Sanders & Nicol touted their extreme lightness, durability, and ventilation, traits that made them attractive for the Australian and Indian markets.
