BAC: British Art Center copy bound in 19th-century morocco by Leighton Brewer. Bound for the Earl of Carysfort with his cipher at the foot of the spine and his armorial bookplate. Textually complete, lacking only the three blanks. On fol. 37r the last line and last word of the preceding line have been removed in the press. On fol. 37v the word "pleased" is spelled correctly. Fol. 3r has a variant spelling in the last line: "lepeop," later corrected to "people." Initials are supplied in ms. over lower case letters. The copy was purchased at the Duke of Buccleuch's sale (Sotheby, 25 March 1889) by Quaritch for the Earl of Carysfort. It was again bought by Quaritch at the sale of Carysfort's books (Sotheby, 3 July 1923). From Sir Arthur Howard. (In the Buccleuch sale this copy is described as bound in olive morocco by C.
