With Sir Edward Burne-Jones' book-plate, and another book-plate, unidentified (armorial, motto: "Amantibvs ivstitiam pietatem fidem"). Red straight grain morocco binding, gilt; bound by Bozerian, according to a penciled note on fly-leaf. Fol. 310, blank, wanting; several ff. are blank on one side.

Sixty-eight woodcut illustrations with decorative frames, one for each canto of the Inferno and Purgatorio and the first canto of the Paradiso, all full-page but the illustration - with no border in some copies - for Canto XIII on leaf h8 recto.
