R.A., deceased, and removed from his late residences at St. John's Wood, and Newman street : consisting of unfinished original pictures, and copies from old masters ; drawings and sketches made by him in Italy and different parts of the Continent ; an enamel portrait of himself by Muss, a wholelength portrait of the Marquess of Chandos, some original heads by Sir Joshua Reynolds, and a few pictures by old masters ; also the library of books on art, books of prints, and prints and drawings in the portfolio, including Sir Joshua Reynold's works, proofs ; British contemporary portraits, and other valuable works / which (by order of the executrix) which will be sold by auction, by Messrs. Christie & Manson, at their great room, 8, King Street, St. James's Square, on Friday, July the 15th, 1831, and following day, precisely at one o'clock : may be viewed two days preceding, and catalogues had, at Messrs. Christie and Manson's Office, 8, King Street, St. James's Square.
