The engraved billhead, featuring an image of a storefront with Roche on the sign and the interior of the shop visible, reads: "Bought of P. Roche, bootmaker. Liverpool. Richmond Stt. (Opposite) Church Stt."
Gore's Directory of Liverpool & its Environs, 1853, lists "Roche, Patrick, bootmaker, 11 Church Street."
Completed in pen and black ink.
Billhead of Patrick Roche, Liverpool bootmaker, recording purchases made by Mr. Roberts in 1850. Records one purchase of two Oxford tie (shoes?) totalling £12. Dated at top May 1, 1850. Payment recorded at bottom: "August 6, 1850. Settled. P. Roche."
