- Bound by hand in covers made from heavy paper, bearing machine-embossed floral designs. The front cover depicts a red and yellow tulip; the back, a bouquet of morning glories. The edges of both covers are trimmed with pink ribbon, attached by hand-sewing. Presumably the embossed designs were bought commercially, and then hand-colored and assembled (with the ribbon) by the owner.
