Bound in contemporary half roan and marbled boards.
The scrapbook of John Egarr, Terrington, St John's, Norfolk, compiled circa 1825-1860. John Egarr (b.1796) ran a private school, in Terrington, St. John's. He was assisted by his eldest son John T. Egarr. His large folio scrapbook is filled with hundreds of cuttings and manuscript items covering the late Georgian and early Victorian period and was probably continued by his son. Various loose items include John Egarr's last will and testament. Also contains business cards, engraved pictures, property particulars, manuscript commonplaces and poems, letter to Egarr and his descendants, and short newspaper clippings relating to west-Norfolk and the Fens, all decoratively arranged.
