Conceived for the exhibition 'A bird in the hand' curated by Zhao Renui and held at The Art Gallery in London from July 14th to September 3, 2011. The exhibition celebrates 150 years of birdwatching and explores the question, "Why look at birds?" All the work in the exhibition is presented as research from the ICZ, whose mission statement is to chart the practices of animal spectatorship, animal advocacy, animal killings and animal collection.
