Artist's book, comprised of a single concertina-folded sheet within a 3-panel cover. One side of the folded sheet bears a single image of gently undulating grass-covered ground. On the other side, panels bear photographic images of George Reginald Smith and a reproduction of his attestation (enlistment) papers.
"This book was inspired by a life filled with promise and meaning that was cut short by war. It reflects on the scars left in the aftermath of war, which not only live on in the memory, but also in the landscape."--Artist's statement.
