- Scope and Content:
- Describes a series of caves and their contents. Some of the text is repeated elsewhere in Wales’s loose notes. One passage claims to describe a statue worshipped solely for its ugliness, and another contemplates whether several partial pillars were in fact ever completed. Mabon notes several carved elephants and writes, “the execution of these animals is of a different kind from that of the figures. They are done in a truly masterly manner.”
