- Denney mentions the upcoming exhibition, and thanks Simmonds for his past awarding of "a Special Prize of a guinea for the best set of notebook drawings." He asks that Simmonds continue his support for the Club. The letter also contains a large amount of marginalia, including rough text thanking an unnamed individual for agreeing to open the exhibition (probably Kenneth Clark).
