Battista Ramusio nel quale si contengono le nauigationi al Mondo Nuouo, à gli antichi incognito, fatte da don Christoforo Colombo Genouese, che fu il primo à scoprirlo à i Re Catholici, detto hora l'Indie occidentali, con gl' acquisti fatti da lui, & accresciuti poi da Fernando Cortese, da Francesco Pizzarro, & altri valorosi capitani, in diuerse parti delle dette Indie, in nome di Carlo V Imp. ; con lo scoprire la gran città di Temistitan nel Mexico, doue hora è detto la Nuova Spagna, & la gran prouincia del Perù, il grandissimo fiume Maragnon, et altre città, regni & prouincie ; la nauigationi fatte dipoi alle dette Indie, poste nella parte verso Maestro Tramontana, dette hora la Nuoua Francia, scoperta al Re Christianiss, la prima volta da Bertoni & Normandi, et dipoi da Giouanni da Verrazzano Fiorentino, & dal Capitano Iacques Carthier ; si come si legge nelle diuerse relationi, tradotte dal Ramusio di lingua spagnuola & francese nella nostra, & raccolte in questo volume, con tauole di geographia, che dimostrano il sito di diuerse isole, città, & paesi, et figure diuerse di piante, & altre cose à noi incognite, et con l'indice copiosissimo di tutte le cose piu notabili in esso contenute.
