Potter : five by Teniers : three capital landscapes with figures by Cuyp : three very spirited and fine by Wouvermans : two by Berghem : a capital ditto, by Is. Ostade : two charming sea pieces by W. V. Velde : a grand historical composition of Perseus changing Phineus and his armed attendants into stone, by N. Poussin : a Holy Family by C. Dolce, in his sweetest manner : a grand interior by P. Panini : a large landscape and figures, one of the most brilliant chef-d'oeuvres of Gainsborough : and the celebrated Holy Family by Sir Joshua Reynolds, known by the engraving made from it by the late Mr. Sharpe : and superior productions of the following Masters : G. Dec : distinguished for his genuine taste in the virtu : the valuable assemblage of pictures collected by him, during a long series of years a very considerable expence, presents a choice treat to the eye of the scientific collector : they comprise the works of Raphael, P. Del Vaga, J. Romano, Correggio, Schidone, Titian, P. Veronese, Schiavone, Tintoretto, Bassan, Carracci, Dominichino, Guido, Poussin, Murillo, Albano, E. Sarani, C. Maratti, Le Seur, Mengs : a variety of interesting portraits, of the literary fiends of the deceased, and other distinguished characters : the celebrated portrait of Nelly O'Bryan : a study for the portrait of Sir J. A catalogue of the very valuable and extremely beautiful collection of high-finished water colour and tinted drawings, the works of that justly admired and elegant artist, Paul Sandby, Esq. R.A., deceased : descriptive of picturesque English topography : Views of Windsor Castle, and its neighbouring park and forest : camp scenes and studies from nature : the choicest productions of his pencil during a long career of nearly sixty years : also his ingenious models of landscape scenery, a few architectural designs by T. Sandby, Esq. R.A. : nearly 200 original drawings of shipping by W.V. de Velde, and an invaluable assemblage of near 70 original drawings by Wilson : which .(by order of the executor) will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie at his great room, Pall Mall, on Thursday, the 2d of May, 1811, and two following days, precisely at one o'clock.
