Catalogue of a valuable collection of pictures, of the Italian and Dutch schools : the property of a gentleman; the greater part of which were collected on the Continent: consisting of the works Raffaelle, Giorgione, Fra Bartolomeo, Poussin, Garofalo, Cannaletti, Swaneveldt, Potter, Cuyp, Ruisdael, Berghem, Backhuysen, De Hooge, P. Wouvermans, Wynants, Weenix, Netscher, Jan Stein, Terburg, Snyders among which may be especially noted a Holy Family in a landscape by Giorgione, from the Almeraghi collection : a portrait, by Raffaelle, from the Ercolini collection : Christ bearing his cross, by Fra. Bartolomeo : Holy Family, by Garofalo, from King Charles's collection : while those of the Dutch masters are too generally of a good quality to admit of particular enumeration : which will be sold by auction, Mr. Edward Foster, at his gallery, 54, Pall Mall, on Wednesday, the 1st of May, 1833, at twelve o'clock : may be viewed two days prior to the sale, and catalogues had at Mr. Foster's Offices, 14, Greek Street, Soho Square, and 54, Pall Mall.
